A Step From Past To Present ... A Generation of Time

In 1962 Michele Iaccino came to Canada from Celico, Italy with his wife Maria and young son Maurizio. Michele, like many immigrants, brought his family overseas in search of a better life. Settling in Sarnia, Ontario the Iaccino’s grew to a family of eight.

A carpenter by trade, Michele passed his craft onto Maurizio who, together, worked as a team building homes in the area. Fascinated and fully involved in the construction field, Maurizio excelled in the CET (Construction Engineering Technologist) course at Conestoga College, graduating in 1986.

Throughout his working life, Maurizio has always remained in the industry. Working as a materials purchaser for Domtar, a site superintendent for Pidel Homes in Guelph, Ontario and finally achieving the status of Western Canada’s top salesman for Sika Canada.

After a life of gathering knowledge in the construction industry, Maurizio established Celico builders in 2005. As his father did for him, Maurizio has continued to pass his skills on within the Iaccino family. Working with his son Daniel. Not only is Celico builders the achievement of a life long goal for Maurizio, but it is also a starting point for the next generation of Edmonton craftsman.
